Pixie's Been Hit

Yes, someone hit my car. I had it parked in the street in front of my apartment (It's a one way street). The guy who it my car (Jon) said that he was driving in the left lane and a Saturn was driving in the right lane. The saturn cut into his lane and when he hit the brakes he slid into the back of my car. The tail light is smashed out, the rear bumper is hanging off, and the trunk and gas door don't close right. So we filed a police report. The cop asked me to start up the car so we could figure out if i could safely move it to the driveway - It wouldn't start. So, I filed and insurance claim and went to class. After class I called AAA and had it towed to Ranney's Auto (Sean's Shop).

Sean called me today. He got my car running, the battery was dead (probably from the cold and the trunk being open). However State Farm (his insurance company) hasn't officially decided to accept the claim (because of the unidentified 3rd car) so they haven't contacted me yet. I can't do anything to my car until they do an estimate, and I can't get a loaner until they call.

I missed work yesterday and I'll have to take the bus to work Saturday and Sunday unless I get a rental car by then (not likely).

So until this all gets resolved Pixie will sit in the Ranney's parking lot.

It's ironic that I had considered trying to move my car back to the driveway the night before. I didn't because it was pure ice and figured I wouldn't get it into the drive anyway. Oh, well.
