A lot can happen in a year...

It's been over a year since my last post, and a lot has happened. Eliot Joined the Airforce October 1st. I went to his Basic Training graduation in November where he got the Top Basic Military Trainee award. He had tech school at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. Now he is stationed at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City next to Shreveport, LA. I've finished my first year of nursing school at CVTC. I have one year to go toward my Associates, two toward my bachlors. From May 21st-June 5th I wa in Shreveport visiting Eliot. More than anything I want to hop on the next plane and go back :-(.

My summer wil mostly consist of work, and this cross cultural health class that I'm taking online through the University. My car is still alive, but barely. I found out today that the Exhaust manifold is cracked. This is less than wo months after I replaced the water pump and struts. I also had to replace the oil pressure sensor, pump for the windshield sprayer, timing belt, and other belts in the last 12 months... more like the past 6 months. I think it's time for a different car, I was hoping it could hold out another year, but I'm getting sick of shoveling money into it. We'll see.

Ciao for now,
Kelly
